Hey everybody, I feel extremely dumb for this but i need ur help.  I got in my mind to put a push button starter in my Z. Well i THOUGHT the battery was dead cuz it had been sittin for a while, so i just left the battery cables attatched , when i took my starter off to wire it for the button it sparker aginst the bellhousing. So now i have a new battery and no fire anywhere, I checked the positive cable to make sure i did'nt burn a wire into and my dad said something about every car has a fusible link in the starting system, do our cars have one of these things? If they do can ya'll give me an idea of where it mite be.  I really don't want to take it to the dealer cause they're gonna charge me out the *** to fix it. So somebody please lemme know somethin.
Thanx

The fusible links are usually around the starter.  You can see them here between the red wires and the starter solenoid.  This is a quad but yours should be similar.
