Any info surfacing on this as yet.

Looks like there are some "things" in August that just may disrupt the timing, however is there anything being done.

I have lots of time if there are calls and stuff to make.

There has been no talk of this... Hell there has been NO talk of the friken national event... I'm trying to figure out WTF is going on... do they really wait this long before starting planning? If so this is insane.

I have barely heard from Will lately... Even after my inquiry on the speed of this server... seems to be fixed now but I never got a reply to my message.

I don't have time to plan a NE bfest since my wedding is August 7th, and then following that I'm gone for two weeks... so if it's anytime during those two weeks count me out of planning and attendance.

Well I'm of the opinion September would be better anyway.

But that is just me.

Anyway BUMP so someone will perhaps see this.

As far as Chicago, it is rather quiet on that front as well!!

I don't know about that yet, with Amy's work... BUT we'll also have to see about the track to see if they have any "tune" days around then, and what is scheduled... anything with bikes present is a waste of time. I'm starting to hate that track and the 3 runs we get in 7 hrs of attendance.

It's NOT the only track.

And who says it HAS to be in Albany?

If Will is busy, that's fair enough and understandable.

Make some suggestions. I have lots of time to research motels and speak to racetracks.

Either way, we'll see how things progress and see what Will thinks.

In the two years I have attended, this track has done piss-all for us, and with all due respect to Will and Lisa, last year was a mess!

If Will is busy....Good! We all have priorities and life happens!

But it can be better.

I'm NOT trying to take over or anything, but I AM available, and know how to do these things!

FWIW!

How about Esta Drags at Cicero? Those guys bent over backwards for me when I was stranded with a busted rear end. The track is sticky too! (obviously) I have only been there the once, but the test & tune was flying. Much, much faster than LVD...

I have 0 time for planning this this year with bfest, the bnet updates, Jon and Amy's wedding, our anniversary and everything else. It has never been any kind of committee process, we just had a core group that always showed up so their thoughts held more weight. As far as the planning and whatnot goes with regard to last year, we kept things open for a reason, the economy effected a lot of us and what was available in NY. Anything in august is a bitch in most of the state because of the Horse track, unless you want to pay $500 for a $75 a night room. Also, half of the people didn't get there until later Friday so those plans were dropped entirely.

Albany was always a more central location to the people we knew would attend more than anything.

Ok and THANX Will for stepping up on this!

I am going to look into a September date and see if we can generate some interest!

More to come I suspect!

September works. Rest of the summer no way for me. Maybe farther south they may be easier to deal with(ie track)
