Hey Money I checked your post but nothing there to help me. The car turns over fine, it just seems like there is no spark or there is no fuel getting to the eng. not sure I'm busy working nightshifts right now just wondering if anyone has ever had the same problem as myself. I can hear  the fuel pump when I turn it over and then shut the key off so I don't think it's the pump.  Tried last night just before I went to work and it fired up for a few minutes so I shut it off because it starting idling really high and went to start it again and it wouldn't go. Tried again this morning when I got home and still won't start.??

I hate to have you check another post. But it might help both of us. Check Fighting the Quad. I'm thinking it is your PCM. If you need help getting to the computer I can tell you how to get to it so you can put the new chip in.

Hey money no haven't got it fixed yet and the mechanics say they are pulling their hair out trying to figure it out. It seems to start when it wants to but then I start getting high revs, upwards to about 3200. If I put it in gear with the brake on the rpms drop back to normal, shift into park or neutral and it wants to pick up speed again after about 2 mins.

Wow! What year and engine? Do you have cruise control? Cruise control is the only thing I know of that controls the throttle. The fuel pressure regulator could over power the injectors, but I would think that would kill the engine(not enough air). I have heard that the vapor canister holds fuel sometimes, but the purge solenoid lets it go in cruise. I don't know if there is enough in there to cause 3200rpm for a long time(just a burst I'd think). That may be it, I don't know for sure. Keep me updated.

I'd try the fuel filter before the pump. It could be many other things. Vac leak?
