Why iMac's aren't better than PC's..

Yep. Bad capacitors. What? You don't see that as often as you do on a PC? You don't say.... Hmmm Well considering the percentage of the market share each have I don't doubt that. But I'm pretty confident the ratio is near the same. And with this model of iMac the problem is well documented online. Since most of the shitty caps are made by the same company(s) sold to LOTS of places (not just motherboard/pc builders) it is a far and widespread problem, unfortunately.
But then Apple doesn't have lawsuits going on about it, unlike Dell. LOL
At least I didn't have to do research, the customer did all that already. He just wanted me to fix it.
Anyways, thought I would share, since I just tore this one down last night. Now to go order some replacement caps, fix the thing and get it back to the customer.
