Also posted this on bstuff but now i get a 403 Forbidden error and don't no why so now on bnet.

My car is a 89 swapped to a 3.1L MPFI and it has a 5 speed tranny.

Just started this swap and everything else im doing.

What I want to do is swap my 3.1L for the 3400. I also want to swap my 89 dash and center console for a 95 that i have.In the process of the swap i want to mold my predator body kit to the car put chrome mesh in the front bumper and re paint the car this chevy rally green i found. My first step will be swapping the dash witch im going to do next weekend.

I have a 3400 out of a 99 Pontiac Montanan the only thing it is missing is the a/c pump.

I also have the complete dash out of a 95 gauges and switches.

What i no i need:
Custom lower motor mount(i was told)
Either keep my injector or splice 3400 ones
new throttle cable
Chiped Ecu (wot-tech sells them for 99.99)
5 speed center console
Paint
Bondo

Questions:
What else do i need for the swap and where can i get them
Where can i get the custom motor mount
What all electrical needs to be changed for the 3400 swap and dash swap

Here are some pic of the motor/Dash/Paint/

I'm not the biggest fan of green on cars... I kind of feel like it looks obnoxious, but if you dig it and know you'll dig it for a long time then roll with it.

Onto the swap(s)... The 3400 swap is straight forward. There are very few wiring changes, but there are some. First and foremost is relocating the coil packs. To do this you will need to unloom and reroute the wires going to your icm. Next in line is the coolant temp sensor. The 2.8s and 3.1s use 2 sensors, one in the rear head and one in the lower intake. The 3400 only uses 1 sensor and it is in the lower intake. You can either tap the rear head to use your stock sensor, or get a 3 wires coolant temp sensor for a 92 2.2 Cavalier. I don't recall colors off the top of my head, but the various 3400 swap guides address this issue further in depth.

For the console swap, it is all straight forward, no real modding needed. The dash swap is a different story. You'll have to upgrade to the newer style cluster and swap dash harnesses and all of the stuff for hvac and etc. Not very fun...

I'm sure more people can go further in depth. I'm in a bit of a hurry at the moment.

You will also have to swap the door panels for the dash to align properly, and I agree with Kurt on the green paint idea.

I'm also not sure the '99 3400 is the best choice.

Might want to consider 2000 or later if you can.

In that entire sentence, I found only a single "."

Less run on sentences, more pictures. If you already haven't start a members ride thread for your car.

I ran around for the longest time with a 91+ dash and older door panels. It does work and lines up, but the difference in the panels and dash looks a lil strange. For the swap, if you look in the appearance section there is a write up on the swap:

http://www.beretta.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1257

Since you already have a 99 3400, go the junk yard and grab the lower and upper intake manifold that have the "00" molded into them. If you find a 2000+ 3100, they are the same upper and lower intakes just different numbers on them. The 99 and older 3400 manifold are the most restrictive of the bunch. 2000+ are the ones you want for best performance.

Good luck with the swap!

I'm really slacking on my GM 60* info, but don't the 3500 manifolds bolt on to the 3400 without modification? Or is it just the 3500 upper intake?
