Accidental quick fill gas cap mod

So back in July I had a bit of "car trouble".
I maintain my vehicles quite well, I rarely have an issue with anything mechanical, and all minor problems fixed before they are major.
This is one of those things you just cant plan for. I have what is basically a brand new set of tires on the rear of my beater, just driving to work.
I'm going about 80 miles an hour, and I suddenly hear this horrible noise from behind me. Turns out a band in my tire (never ran flat.. Wtf?) came apart and shredded the tread.
This section of tread stayed attached to the tire and wrapped itself around my gas filler neck, and ripped it out of the car. I had only a quarter tank of gas, I'm luck it didn't explode.
Here are pics of the damage and resulting road side fix.

So it actually ripped the whole bucket out of the side of the car, (it was gone, couldn't find it, along with any sign of the fuel door).
I went to the junkyard that same day. What luck! They had a Cayenne Beretta on the lift pulling out the gas tank! picked up a new door and filler neck for 20 bucks.
I got home to put it on and realized something horrible. The force of the tire tread actually ripped the door mounting bracket off the inside of the quarter panel. So its actually impossible to mount a new door if I wanted to, without cutting and welding.
Also, i needed gas to make it home, and because the "handle" part of the gas cap was ripped apart, I couldnt get the thread/vent part of the gas cap out of the stupid tube.
It also ripped the bumper seam, tore out the side marker, and the wiring for the side marker is just GONE. All of it, its ripped off way foreward on the car lol..
