HEAD GASKET - help!

I have a quad four with a blown head gasket.. I was told by numerous sources to try a gasket sealing type solution that you pour into the coolant and it's supposed to fix the problem. It would be a heck of a lot easier than shelling out the insane amount of money to re-do the head gasket, but I want to make sure it actually does good and not harm to my precious GTZ. So anybody try this yet? Is it safe? Please let me know what you think..

To be honest with you, those are just a gimmick. Sold by stores to make you put it in your engine, to have something else go wrong, so you will wind up buying another motor anyways.

Your best bet, is to find someone you can trust and have the gasket replaced. Quads really dont like having additives run thru them. They are kinda temperamental that way. Doing the gasket the right way will insure many more years or enjoyment for your car. Where are you loacated? There may be a member here that could help you with the task and save you some dough.

Any headgasket sealer crap is only temporary... It's not meant for a permanent fix... also it may not fix the problem depending on how bad the gasket is blown out.

The ONLY stuff to try is called Irontite. It is a ceramic sealant that won't clog up your rad. I've used it before with success, and I am leary of any additive. They carry it at carquest. Its like $15 a bottle - worth a try.
