Ok well I never really posted any pictures of it when I got it, but here is the car that my now Wife bought me for my wedding present.

2007 Legacy GT Limited 5-speed Turbo :)

Pics of when Amy was checking it out.

They had to replace the grill and the driver’s side door handle.

Pics of it at home, I had to wait a bit longer on the handle and they said they could have kept the car or I could go back to get it replaced... I opted to go back and get it replaced later. They also sent me a $95 check since the paint was so badly matched I got a quote to have it re-painted... I haven't done it yet since I want to see what happens to the rest of the car color when I buff it. Its Obsidian Black Pearl, so its not just black.

So far I've installed a Ebay cold air intake on it, as well as a GFB 50/50 BOV and I've also programmed it with a Stage 1 tune which bumps the boost from 13psi up to 16psi I have in my possession a set of FastMotorsports Headers and up pipe, and I have on the way a Bellmouth WRX downpipe, so once I have all of that I will go Stage2 which is 19PSI and probably destroy my Top mount Intercooler, since stock is plastic side tanks... I'll get a new IPR aluminum one when that happens.

Most recently I just installed my spare 30k mile turbo since mine was showing too much front to rear end play and I didn't feel like risking it since it did some weird things with the boost one morning. I've also done a set of MSI lowering springs (aka Eibach which is now discontinued) with a set of KYB struts... so Nothing major there, just about 1" lower and not any stiffer But my rear shocks were done and needed to be replaced... I plan on getting some swaybars eventually though.
I’ve also done the required maintenance since the car has 105k on it now. We bought it with 94k and it was a single owner car, and to be honest, this car is near impossible to find with low miles and not a 19k price tag.
Pics from the timing belt change.

I also tinted the side windows myself since the rear was already done. From the look of it the car was previously tinted and when the dealership acquired it they had to strip it since it was most likely 35% film which will test at 25% vlt which is illegal in CT... I put 20% film on the rear windows and 35% film on the fronts... It’s amazing how much the tint and the lowering set the car off. I also have a set of DDM tuning 5000k HID headlight and I have a set of 3000k Fog HID's to go in soon, 55w on the headlights once I get a harness and the fogs will take the 35w ballasts that are now on the headlights, and I will also install a harness on those too... Better safe than sorry.

Image

I also just installed brand new Italian leather shift boot and e-brake boot, the synthetic leather was starting to peal and crack badly, these things are so soft. The shifter also has a Perrin short throw adapter on it as well as the Perrin shifter bushing in the front, I have not replaced the rear bushing though. I also normally have a MOMO shift knob on it but DAMN that thing gets FREEZING in the winter and never warms up, so I swapped back to this one for the meantime.

Image

I just got my Techline Coating for my headers and up/down pipe too... I ordered their Turbo X Blue coating... I figured that would stick out just a bit under the hood, at least maybe the downpipe since thats all you'll see... and match my Blue coupler on my intake :) LOL

I'll post pics once I paint the headers. I need t strip the original coating off them since it was starting to flake anyways.

Let me know what you think.

They are cheap and easy if you don't fall for the name brand game... The cheapest TMIC for my car is the IPR one and that's 485 shipped... I wish there were other options.

The downpipe I got was $40.99 shipped and the headers and up were only $150, Probably could have got a new ebay set for cheaper, but I didn't see those till after I had these.

plastic sidetanks on intercoolers ftl. I'm sure mine will pop at some point. Once i do the gm stage kit it can boost to 22psi so we shall see.

Boost is fun though.

Your PSI is already higher than mine, be happy it can hold that! Mine wont even hold 16PSI forever, I can already see the tanks pushing away, and I'm planning on going up to 19PSI :)

Needs black wheels!

I'm jealous of your shift & ebrake boots. I need a set for my Beretta.

Its just too easy with a popular car.

Do a front mount I/C. Cheap, make your own tubing. Be a innovator for the LGT guys like you are for the beretta guys

Slow. :)

Heh.. just kidding. It's funny how much difference there is between our cars just based on model year alone... I noticed your seats are softer/squishier than mine.

Have fun with Stg 2; it's a whole different beast :)

A few updates to this... I acquired headers a while ago... Blasted them and coated them and was not impressed with how I did it with the full size gun, so I re-blasted them and they are just waiting for me to have time to coat them again... I also bought more M2 racing products from Ebay, which if you ask every LGT.com member I'm "hacking" my exhaust together since I'm not using "name brand" parts and working with Ebay stuff... How can you complain when the full down pipe setup is $41 for the Bell mouth setup and $41 for the catless part. I'm also purchasing a Gimmick Catback from a local member who is going to stock catback but also had me order the same up pipe, down pipe and rear catless pipe for him.

But if you ask me I'm 100% satisfied with what I have ready to go on the car... No hacking necessary since it all goes together.

Image

Exhaust housing there to just simulate what's getting replaced... It will all be Blue like the up pipe up to the las chrome pipe... I'm leaving that they way it is, the rest I want to have a ceramic insulator on it so I'm spraying the coating.

Image

Image

Image

This was the first run at the headers but I think the coating was too thick and would have rejected once hot.

Image

I've also put in all HID lights up front 3k for the fogs and 8k for the headlights.

Image

Other than that, no other changes exterior wise... As I've stated in the past, I'll keep it 100% stock outside and just go up to stage 2 so its still a decent daily driver but will blow away quite a few v8 cars without them knowing whats up.

I have had them for a long time now and never had a problem... I have the standard thickness ones, I think the slim line ones look a little better but you can't argue a lifetime warranty. If the Ballast does go, send it back they will replace it... But others recommend just getting a third ballast, or 5th for me and keep that as a spare since they are so cheap so you always have one as a backup since their returns department is a bit slow, but they do come through.

C'mon man, you cant say that you are not going to slap on some ricetastic appearance mod kit and then fit the car with some rotas.... It just wouldn't be complete for a car like that! LMAO.

Looks like someone has the subie mod itch, so the next thread will be a spare block and trans/fer combo getting ready for some 10's? One thing I've noticed is that a deeply modified subie sounds like a quad 4 on its deathbed.
