Whats the best way to go about removing the trim around the doors and rear glass. I really want to get under these for painting, but I really want them to go back on the same way they came off.

door you need a small 90* screwdriver to get the screws out and then it just pulls up... as far as the rear quarter windows... Depending on the year, some versions were screwed in from the inside of the car, mine for example was glued in with the window so unless I pull my rear quarter windows then mine has to get taped around... Which it was and it came out fine.

i have the the 1991 paint falling off syndrome, and it will need to be sanded down to metal then built back up again. the old primer just burns when you spray anything on it. helped a friend with a 1989 with the same problem. Do you happen to know if in 1991 they were screwed or glued?

My car was stripped down to metal with a razor blade then primed blocked painted and cleared... If you get a good painter you do not have to remove them. He did that with mine because my paint was pealing as well, and he didn't want to use a paint stripper because it would damage the door jambs.

Woody's car was screwed on, so I'm not sure what year that originally was.
