While I was in Indiana last weekend my mom sent me a text a friend of my bother and I's garage burnt this last weekend.


He lost an 06 Viper SRT 10, Brand new Quad, his new Mastercraft boat and it melted the rear of a Cavalier he just bought that was parked more than 500ft away. It also damanged the side of his house and made it unliveable.

It was determined to be an Electrical issue that caused the fire. I guess his home owners won't cover his quad or boat..which sucks

That sucks. Going through insurance to recover your losses is a pain in the ass.

Thats for sure I guess they told him that he is SOL on his brand new boat and quad...I think the boat was used 1 season..

Was the boat insured?

As far as I know it was but his homeowners is trying to get out of covering it.

Why? Because the Quad and boat are recreational vehicles? That makes no sense. His homeowner's coverage should cover EVERYTHING that was burnt and he can provide receipts and proof of ownership on.

Most likely because the cost of everything exceeds the coverage amount, or because stuff wasn't inside the actual building. Some insurance companies are very specific and anal.

Yea Idk what kind of coverage he has but his home owners won't cover his boat or quad for some reason, beats the crap outta me.
