Ok so im rebuilding a 95' 4t60e auto trans,
I have a problem with the raybestos stage 1 red clutches that i bought,
All of my clutches fit except for one set on the input shaft, they just wont line up right,

84119EAS1 ..... Friction Module, 4T60E(Stage 1) 95-Up

Below are two photos, in the pics i have a clutch that fits over top of the reybestos ones that dont, you can see that the teeth do not line up right..

Are these the wrong clutches or are they messes up by raybestos?
any info would be greatly appreciated asap, thanx!

Are you sure that is the exact part number you got, not the one that you placed the order for, but it says that number on the package of the clutches?

Also what was the ID on the back of your trans. From what I've seen, all 60e clutches are the same size, any year... The only way that could be different is if the place you bought them from sent you a 65e setup, even still some of the 65e stuff is the same, 3rd gear for example.

Cooked Input Clutch - I can only assume PN is 600150 as noted in their application guide, and consistant with the rest of the numbers below, What are yours tagged?


2nd gear clutch - 600160


3rd gear OD Spline Clutch - 600180


3rd gear ID spline clutch - 600170


4th gear clutch - 600190 Burnt from a bad set of steel plates... They had weird high spots on them and caused this wear.


I would like to see a picture of the raybestos clutch itself you have it covered by the stock one so I can't tell what part number your trying to match up.

Remember there is a third gear with OD splines and one with ID splines.... it almost looks like you are confusing the Input clutch with the third gear ID splined clutch. But they are not the same ID... so actually I don't think you can do that.

Input clutches are double sided with slots in them, the second gear are the largest internally splined ones, third gear have two, one with OD splines and another with ID splines, both being one sided fiber other side steel, and then 4th is the largest style spline and only 3 of them. That should give you visual reference of all the packs and what they should look like.

Do you have a book for the trans?
