hey yall .... i posted a while back about a cluch fork shaft issue . Well now i have a much bigger problem... I finally got all my parts , bout to put the retta back together when i found two small cracks in the passage ? maybe its called a boss? ( the hole that the clutch fork shaft slides through and sticks out the case)
trans shop says it cant be welded ... so now im lost ... anyone know what i can do to fix this.???

Please help ! :( trying to post pics but having login issues ....

How bad are the cracks?

Almost anything is weldable - it just depends on the skills of whoever will be doing the welding.

Or Boring it out and sleeving the boss also come to mind....

We need higher res for sure. I know the area and to me I'd think it's weldable.

Do you have any higher resolution? Maybe my eyes are getting weak, but I can't see the crack(s)... :(

The guy at the trans shop said it would probally distort the boss and he couldnt garuantee the work so he wouldn't do it ... and i can't weld aluminum

he's ataching the photos on the board so they can't be high res. he needs to use photobucket or something to upload a higher res

I had my old one welded before with no problems. Had a metalworking shop do it.

Just get someone who knows what they're doing. My cracked bellhousing boss came out beautiful.

You can do high res if you attach to the board, they just cant be 4meg..
