Well got the interior pulled out. Found the water leaks. Coming through both sides wiring harness going through the fire wall. Cleared out sunroof drains. The FRONT holds for the sunroof slide in the seals on them were done so will have to reseal those. Water getting in trunk via the tail light screws, will need rubber o-rings of some type on them and the top left of back windshield is leaking. So things are looking up.

Well the two front sunroof hold downs were leaking so I pulled them and resealed. All it good there now. Had a leak at the back top corner of back window, sealed, appears not to be leaking. I have resealed the area's around the wiring harneses going into the firewall. Got to check those for leaks yet. Pulled out the digital dash and is being sent out to be fixed if possible.

Think I got all leaks fixed now. Had one more around the fresh air intake in the pass side cowl. It was leaking pretty goos when I got water up obove it. So I pulled it, the rubber/foam thingon it wasa ok, but in places you cound see where water was getting through over time. I seaked the gently caress out of it. It wont leak again, ha ha ha. Everything is all buttoned back up, leak points sealed, tomorrow we hammer it with water to see what happens.

Still working on leaks, drenched it today and still had some. Went back over the harness into firewall on both sides, resealed the heater fresh air unit in cowl, it was leaking, filled all seams in the cowl. Found small drip from top ow windshield. The is some rust at windshield at the top, car is going to shop for some work, going to have dude fix that rust and have new WS put it, it is cracked. Getting close but I need this bitch water free so the damn thing stays dry on the carpets and the headliner when I have that redone.

ummm when i was getting the wet carpet on the drivers side I found the seem on the cowl was leaking where the drain was and also inside the car where the front wheel wells are the seem was cracked there. I also saw on junkyard cars that the inside seem in the trunk around the taillights have a tendacy to crack and leak. It's weird that the rain would come in through the taillight screws. Are the spoiler holes leaking? either way i scrapped the sealant off where mine was leaking and resealed it with underbody coating. the tar stuff in a gallon can like house paint. im sure they sell it in smaller cans but i feel it coats better then the spray on crap.

Well after adding more sealant to more of the cowl seam the leaks appear stopped. Car has not been driven in rain since we got it so any other leaks from driving have yet to be discovered.
As for the leak into the trunk. I have tested it nothing is getting in anywhere but threw a screw hole. I will look more into that but that seems to be the only leak.

appears most water leaks are gone. At shop for small rust removal/new windshield/seat fix, the dude said a tiny bit of water leaked on drivers side, soooo something still leaking. It is coming fron high up in the dash so it has to be the wiring harnes or the cowl somewhere still.
Headliner next then interior is done.

Digital speedo fixed. Can't wait to put it in and see how many miles are on it. We are guessing the 160k range.

Well got car back, small rust in rockers gone, a little rust around windshield gone and new windshield is in. Looks great.
BAD: Put in the repaired speedo and it is worse then it was before I sent it out. NONE of the digital readouts are operating. NOTHING. Sooo waiting for company that fixed to get back with me. I am NOT pleased. I sent them links to video's of them in action and pics of mine in it's broken state. When I sent it out only thing not working was the odom readout and none of the mode words were lighting up when I hit a button for one.
Needless to say, I am not happy.

Oh no that sucks! Awesome on the rust removal though! I hate that stuff.
Good luck getting the gauges working. Who's doing the work?

autoecu.com did it for me. They have done other stuff for me. They have a lifetime warranty so have to see what happens from here.

Still waiting on repaired cluster to be returned. Got another that I am told works for a backup.
Worked on backend leaks into the back seat/trunk. Found that if I ran water long enough over the top of the rear window it would start to dribble ever so little. SO since I can't afford to pop the rear window (running out of cash) I just went and cleaned and put some sealant on the inside window at the car. I also found a leak that was going down the side the drvers side back window and coming in the trunk. It was coming in at the top of window in the corner where that body seam or what ever itis called on the top side there between door and back window, water was going down into the top of window at the seem/cprner and traveling into truck by the back of the wheelwell. I sealed that off and will test tomorrow.
I also hade a seam behind the left light that somehow oniched open and was letting lots of water in. closed that one up today also. Also the lights, their mounting screws going through body, had a little cup on them with a washer and foam on them, most of the faom was shot so I put new goam on them today. Tomorrow is big test day. If all these places are sealed up then the back of the car is water right at last.
The front is not leaking anymore it appears. I was getting water through the fresh air intake on the pass side in cowl. Thatis all sealed up now, plastic cowl cover back on. Water test that one tomorrow. I think I am about to the finish line on water leaks being sealed AT LAST. Once that is done I can cover headliner board, install and call it a day.
