Those kids and their Beretta's.
Just kidding.
Probably in need of the common failure... headgasket
Let's hope it was out of fuel.

Yea, we tried to help on that.
We disconnected the hydraulics completely hoping to get it started in gear.
It would roll freely in every gear including reverse. It must be locked up internally.
They were staying closeby so they could haul it back Sunday.
I hope they made it OK. They felt really bad about it. ÂÂÂ
It had 150,000 miles on the original clutch. It was just time for it to go.

I don't think the clutch itself went out, we were leaning more towards the hydraulics being froze up. The pedal wouldn't push in and when the shifter was in gear it wouldn't grab. I supposed it could've been either or.
I thought it was odd that this happened because just before we left he was telling me how it was the original clutch and had no problems thus far.
I hope he and his friends made it home.
