95 3.1L v6 throwing coolant via accessory belt
Not sure where the issue is starting at. I bought the car yesterday thinking I could fix it I got a good deal on it. It has 76 K miles on it and all is well except for the coolant leak. The "low coolant" light is on in the dash and it only leaks when the car is running. not after. The driver side under the hood is dry, I tried using a flashlight to look around for the leak but wasnt able to find any leaks however since the accessory belt is wet and flinging coolant everywhere I can't tell where its coming from since the belt sends it in all directions. The car's oil is not milky, It is also hard to look around since I do not have protective eye wear around the house. Thanks for any help I am trying to be descriptive as possible and thanks guys.

Check the waterpump
Re: 95 3.1L v6 throwing coolant via accessory belt
Is the waterpump located right where the upper radiator hose connector on the car is? I turned the car on and let it idle but didn't let it pass the middle line. after turning it off the round circular metal piece that rotates by the force of the belt closest too the upper radiator hose connection was dripping very rapidly. Coolant was spilled a lot in the process the car doesn't start currently probably do to a short, happened one time with my old chrysler but what would you do in the situation? I disconnected the battery and realized its not top-post so I'm not sure how I would charge it in case that is why the car wont start I had the stereo on earlier for about an hour with the car off.

Connect the charger leads right to the side posts, same way you would a top post.
Barry is right its your water pump. Seal's gone and its pissing out the weep hole. New ones like 20 dollars last time I checked. Very easy fix. The large radiator hoses go directly into it.

got the cash together to get the waterpump and the rest of the stuff I cut a wood block from a 2x4 and placed it under the passenger side of the oil pan, lifted the engine a little bit and removed the engine mount. I can't seem to get the tensioner loose. I called my father he has a 97 monte carlo he says it has the same engine in the car and that theres a little slot somewhere around the tensioner that I just stick the driver into. Can't seem to find it. Any help is appreciated the haynes manual doesn't help me out with this much. Thanks guys
