so when i was trying to install a new deck in my car, something broke apparently, i noticed when my dinging for leaving the lights on went whenever the car was turned off, no matter what, or how long, also the inside light never shut off when the car was on so i pulled the fuse labeled "Audible Alarm" and ABS  and courtesy lights and a few other things, this stopped the dinging, but now my ABS doesn't work and my doors no longer lock at 5mph. Did I blow the entire circuit? or does it have something to do with my door latch sensor thing?
any help would be greatly appreciated
(by the way, its a 1994, 2.2, 5 speed, power locks, abs, cruise control...i'm not sure if any of that helps, but i figured i'd throw it out there)

This sounds like a VERY familiar scenario. Don't you already have a thread going on this or was that on Bstuff? I would tell you like I told you before if it's you... check the fuse box itself for a blown/burnt fuse slot. It almost sounds suspiciously like a short circuit or shorted wire. Trace all your wiring from the stereo back and check for breaks/cracks/bare spots. GL.

well i had a thread on this but it was just a list of stuff and this question kinda got put off to the side.
i did check the fuse and it is still good, so everything is good there, but it just seems like a wire somewhere went out completely. i was just wondering where the door latch switch even is and how to get at it so i can check that?

You mean the button for your dinger and such?

dude that sounds like fuse 11 check it, I think it's a 15 amp. even if it looks good It could be bad. i know I know, it sounds crazy. just try substituting another fuse for it and see what happens. usually you'll blow a fuse before anything else unless the fuse has been replaced with a higher amp model. thats a big No No! just check every fuse in the board, it's not gonna hurt anything.
and BTW: your door switch is in the front door jamb area. but usually when they go bad they just make the car ding all the time.

If you put a cddeck inthe car, it sounds like you could be completing a circuit from the harnesswiring of the cd unit area... meaning an illumination wire [for example] is receiving the gnd or (+) it needs to complete the circuit under normal operation.  Its not being complete when it needs to be, but now.  I don't know about the wires in the back.  I hard wire everything, so it sounds to me like it could be one of those harness plugs with misinformation.  If you know that you hooked up the only req. wires, properly [crimps preferred over solder] and the connections are insulated, you can rule this theory out.

just had to suggest the obvious, I've seen it too much.
