Has anyone ever relocated tie rods on L-body car before?

I am currently thinking the easiest way, moving the ball joint from upside to downside, would have to get new 'cone' holes machined to the struts, that can be tricky.

Another one would be cut\re-weld the 'steering arms' on the strut housings...


The reason for me to do this, is that the white car has some serious bump-steer with the current ride height, and tie-rods pointing aggressively up, as the should be level or tilted down. It's much bigger issue without power steering.

You can do this with no machining you just need to make custom outer joints that use a removable stud. With spacers you can fix your bumpsteer for almost any ride height.

You would need a custom one with a taper spacer that you could flip to put on the other side of our steering arm.

However, your kinda fighting a uphill battle since our steering racks are very bad for bumpsteer having the inner points at the center of the car. They should be in line with the LCA pivot point
