g6 cluster?

Does anyone know if a g6 cluster would fit in a 1995 z26 Beretta? Or know of anyway to find out? I know the bolt holes aren't the same but would it fit size wise in place of a Beretta cluster?

Sure, you could figure a way to make it fit. But making it work is a completely different story. I don't think our ECMs will support that unit. But who knows. There could be a simple way. Only way I figure, is you would need the ECM out of the G6 too, and mod it to adapt to a beretta harness and engine. Not just as simple as dropping it in. But that's my thoughts. I have been wrong before. I have driven the G6's, I know their dashes work a lot differently than hours, (computer control on some of it) so not sure if that control is built into it, or part of the main computer in the car.

But what if I did a 3500 swap with ecu and harness and cluster?

If its all from a G6, then I don't see why it wouldn't work. Good luck though!

Knowing that could a 3900 be doable?

That's a ton of work. If you have the computer, harness, ecm, body control module, body harness, and cluster, there is no reason why you cant get a 3900 running, since you have all the original electronics that it came with.
Good luck, because thats a lot of fcking wires.

The G6 cluster needs to be on the 11 bit GM Lan (CAN) bus. So without using all the ancillary parts, no.

yup...cliff nailed it. CAN bus owns you.

Like what other parts?

The entire electrical system... Period... aka lot of fukin wires as chad said.

IIRC the cluster does a sweep when you turn it on. The gauges are not directly connected to the sensors but to the PCM and BCM.
Body Control Module (which sometimes is the cluster)
Power train Control Module.
As stated by Cliff its CAN Bus.
These new clusters are amazing thin, and not even the illumination is user serviceable.
