havent checked yet but i am pretty sure they are. while i am slowing down they flash kind of randomly. when i stop, the signal stays on then clicks slow with at least a two second stall.

Replace the blinker flasher. Under the dash.

The courtesy module is the pink or blue box under your dash that does your door chime and dims the interior lights along with a few other things. It does not do signals as far as I know.

Mine was not in the box and is just clipped under the dash. The 4 ways and the turns have separate blinker modules.

Exactly. They use different flashers. That's why his hazards are fine and his blinkers are fucked.

I thought the flashers WERE in the Courteousy Center on the '94+ models? They just hang under there like the earlier models do as well?

Actually now I don't remember. I think the flasher just plugs In under there.

I remember the signal flasher on an old co-workers 94 being attached to a dash support. It was significantly harder than on the 87-90 where you could just remove the storage pocket.

I think the "courtesy module" you speak of is properly called a MICAM (MID-FUNCTION INTEGRATED CONTROL AND ALARM MODULE)

However, in the case of this thread it seems as if a serious draw or weak alternator could cause this issue. Are you saying the signals blink normal when driving but are slow at idle?

Low power problem then.... I would guess...

If they are "powering down" with engine speed, that would suggest alternator problems. As in it's having issue sustaining current below a certain RPM. Easy enough to pull the alt and have it tested for free.

the alt is fine, its been tested. i just hope its not the switch itself as i have read its a PITA to change. i dont know if i could change it or if any shops around here do that stuff for reasonable charge.

rock auto has the blinker for 5 bux plus+ shipping and autozone has one for 10. which ever makes better sense is probably where i will get it
