Several New Improvements To the Truck

I got several things done today. I took the truck in to get the front windows tinted with 20% this afternoon. I didn't want to go really dark, just enough to tie in with the back windows. I also sprayed the GMC emblem with some Plasti Dip as well as the wiper arms because they were peeling. The other day I also installed a set of 6000K HIDs from eBay. The truck isn't clean in the pictures so bear with me. I think its always the little stuff that helps a vehicle stand out.

I believe I paid around $295 from Summit. One of the best purchases I've made so far.

Aren't those windows a little dark, officer? haha

Well MI tint laws are almost non existant...
HOW DARK CAN WINDOW TINT BE IN MICHIGAN?
Darkness of tint is measured by Visible Light Transmission percentage (VLT%). In Michigan, this percentage refers to percentage of visible light allowed in through the combination of film and the window.
• Windshield Non-reflective tint is allowed on the top 4 inches of the windshield.
• Front Side Windows Any darkness can be applied 4" inches from the top of the window.
• Back Side Windows Any darkness can be used.
• Rear Window Any darkness can be used.

HOW REFLECTIVE CAN THE TINT BE IN MICHIGAN?
Similar to sunglass lenses, some tinting film contain metallic elements that help in reflecting incoming light and reducing the glare and heat generated by visible light.

• Front Side Windows Must not be more than 35% reflective.
• Back Side Windows Must not be more than 35% reflective.

OTHER MICHIGAN RULES AND REGULATIONS
• Restricted Colors No colors of tint are explicitly banned.
• Side Mirrors No restrictions.
• Certificate Requirements Manufacturers of film do NOT need to certify the film they sell in the state.
• Sticker Requirements No sticker to identify legal tinting is required.
• Medical Exemption State allows medical exemptions for special tint. For more details about the specific terms of the exemption, consult your state law.
It says any darkness but should only be 4" below the top of the window...

also HID's in a non projector housing....
