The car was parked because I bought a truck. I already have a 2004 Grand Prix that my wife drives, so I didn't need to have three vehicles on the road. The car was in driving condition until about a week ago when a guy that was looking at it pulled on the brake line and broke it.

Might consider putting up some bigger better pics here, for potential buyers to have a better idea of its condition. May help.
Not much to go on, the way its listed.

You should post all of the information on here for everyone to see. I know if I was interested in a car, I wouldn't want to go through the trouble of trying to get ahold of someone for pictures when it would be easier to see them on the site. But then again, I may just be lazy.

You must not be lazy if you are commenting on a listing that you aren't even interested in. Thanks for your advise.

As you can or can't see from the pictures, the clear coat is peeling. Had it repainted around '02.
Other issues are:
Hood release cable is broken (end broke off at lever in car, can still use with pliers)
Drivers side window seal needs replacing
Wheel wells rusting
A few other rust spots
Top of dash on passenger side is cracked from sun ( I have a Dash Mat covering it)
Damage to rf fender behind wheel (came back from shop damaged, they denied doing it)
Will need brake work (front rotors and pads)
Brake line to rear is broken and emergency brake doesn't work (no brakes)
Ac doesn't work (needed ac clutch years ago, just never fixed it)
Had to remove wheel locks after a shop lost the key (left them off, but still have the lug nut covers)
Has aftermarket alarm system that will need some work (I have it in valet mode)
Rear view mirror came off (easy fix)
Good things:
Very good Michelin snow tires
Kenwood stereo with 10 disc cd changer mounted in trunk and upgraded speakers
New gas tank in '09 or '10
New power steering rack and lines in '07
New radiator within past 5 years
Always kept up on routine maintenance
Interior is in good condition
3.1 V6, power windows locks and key-less entry
Spent first 6 years in Arizona
Blue book in fair condition is $2180
I drove this car daily for 16 years and have put on over 99% of the miles myself.
Let me know if you have any other questions or want any specific pictures (within reason)
Thanks
Jon

Sounds like a 500 dollar car to me. Seeing that it has no rear brakes and such.
You should at least fix the easy stuff like the rearview mirror and hood cable before you sell it. You can get a new hood cable for 18 bucks at Autozone.
... Then wash it lol.

Opinions are like....... I think you know the rest of the saying.

Just looking to post my car and get replies from interested people. If no one wants it I will just junk it. It has a lot of life left in it and I would hate to see it crushed. Before too long there won't be any of these around. I realize this is a project car and thought this would be a good place to list it. If anyone has questions or offers email me. Thanks

well with that being said how firm are you on the price. i mean if your willing to just junk it which you might see a few hundred bucks out of it if anything then the price must not be firm.

not lazy i'd want the same thing.
lot's of pics and tons of info. some people might see just one line and walk away thinking there is a ton of problems with the car, same thing as with not enough pics or ones from far away.

I think that in some ways it can be difficult to process a for-sale thread on cars here, as most of us already know the typical value of a vehicle, based on condition, repairs needed, etc. That being said there are exceptions naturally, especially if the car is in unique condition...
I have had mine listed for sale, and in some ways its in nicer shape, and I was only trying to get around 1950 knowing that it won't go for more than that, even though I feel its worth way more. The red base I bought for parts, I only gave 200 for it and it was a complete car, other than being in really bad shape. And I'm in the process of acquiring yet a 3rd beretta very shortly. It needs a few things like yours, but I can have it road ready in a couple days or so. (more depending on how much time I have to work on it.. lol ) Price on it is reasonable, considering.
Anyways, good luck, it would suck to see it go to the junk yard, but there again, its all about desire and pocket book. You have to want it bad enough and have enough to warrant buying it, or sell it at a point that will put both you and the person buying it ahead. If it goes to the junkyard, you might get around 300, but you could probably unload it on here for around 700-900.

I'd buy it if I could get Tiffany to sell her Subaru!
