no fuel gauge

Post by michi »

My car was sitting for one week and now the fuel gauge doesnt work anymore. When i floored it in first it went up a little and keept going when i was cruising but then went down to empty again. Now the needle doesnt move anymore.

So seems like the sensor is shot? Is there any other reason or do i have to swap in a new sensor?

you may need to drop the tank and check the connections.

The gauge runs on resistance, so poor connections will do weird things.
