the black plastic piece between the hood and the windshield?

the black piece the spans the windshield under the windshield wipers is loose on the drivers side. what kind of glue should i use to re attach it since it is against the glass?

I've always called that black piece a cowl. I removed that to fix leaks earlier this year, and it was held in with those mushroom removable plastic trim fasteners. They are available at an auto parts store (a couple of mine were brittle and broke when I removed them). If you see some holes in the area where it is loose, then you are most likely missing the fasteners. If you must glue down, I've always found RTV to be an effective adhesive, provided dirt, grease and grime are removed from both surfaces.

Just use the plastic push pins referred to above. That piece does nothing to seal water from entering the cabin. If you have a water leak, look elsewhere...

One of mine had sealant between the plastic and the glass above the intake for the air blower. *shrug
