Transmission would most likely be a getrag with a V6 bell, would it not? THAT alone would be worth picking it up. lol

Too bad you can't buy whole vehicles from salvage yards in Wisconsin!

It's at Badger Motors in Wisconsin Rapids, WI 6 miles from my house.

Yes, it is a V6 getrag 282, external slave 3.61 FDR. I have seen two V6 5 speed 94 Cavalier Z24's sitting at the yards I'd rather have the transmissions from though, and those both have way less miles...

Looks are deceiving! The seats are all pretty beat up, the rockers are rusted with holes by 3 of the 4 doors.
It has a solid rear sway bar and the shift cables are good!

I believe that should have the Getrag 284 in it actually if I'm not mistaken. Nice find.

It's a 282, 284's didn't come out until 91 in W bodies.
The GM 284 was made for the 3.4 DOHC engine, only used in w-body's, and only used from 91-93.
*edited to say GM 284 in order to be politically, I mean technically correct*

Thought title said a '91. I didn't think they put the 282 in the LTZ. I fully admit, I'm not overly familiar with Corsica options.
Oh, and btw, the 284 was NOT only W body specific. Let's see how well you REALLY know cars. It was put in a NON GM make also.

Takes 2 seconds to look it up online and realize for one it did not come in a Corsi and was used in a Maserati and a Lotus... No need for bickering.
284 — 5-speed Chevrolet Lumina, Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme, Pontiac Grand Prix, Chrysler TC by Maserati (16v only), Chrysler Seled Mexico (Lotus 16v DOHC head)
The 282 doesn't even list being in a Corsica, but since it was in the beretta its a no brainer that they would use it in it's sister 4 door car.
