BerettaFest 2012 Location Results

Post by quad4berettagtz »

After one minor adjustment, the results are in!

After drawing in 58 voters for one of our largest turnouts in voting to date,
BerettaFest 2012 will be invading the shores of Lake Michigan at Traverse City,
MI June 21-24 2012!

Congratulations to our winning proposal!

After a very tight primary vote, and an early tight race in the finals, Traverse
City pulled away in the final days in a vote that became a race of East vs.
West.

Thank you very much to EVERYONE for the wonderful voter turnout!

Everyone keep your eyes peeled for upcoming events like Committee voting,
website updates, and news on the new voting procedure to begin AT BerettaFest
2012!

Any chance in hell the event could be pushed back to the last weekend in June? Time and Time again this falls on the last week of school so I'm having trouble with Amy being able to make it. I've fought with this one for 3 years now... one year she flew there, one she didn't come and last year she managed to get the days off... Highly unlikely this year with us getting hit by Irene and canceling school start for a week.

If your unsure of the dates I say at least throw up a poll and see what people prefer... that way we know. I don't think we've ever done that, at least I don't remember it.

My only problem is, if the 4th of July weekend falls on that weekend, I will not be able to be there. And after submitting the proposal and then not be able to go..... Well..... lol

For me, it hinges on what weekend the party for the 4th hits. That's all I'm saying here. Otherwise, I'm not picky. Just that I have obligations for the 4th already. But, whatever the majority decides if it comes to that, fine. :D

4th of July is not the last week of June... thats the 30th and the 1st... So in this case, the 4th is the middle of the week. I'm not saying pushing it to July, Only one day would be July and that would be the last day of the event.

I can only imagine as the group ages more that school dates are going to affect things more and more. At least I would think so.

Very good chance we can make it, if we can get a hotel with a decent rate.

Just to update everyone here on the board. I will be putting up a post with info regarding our hotel setup. This year is going to be a bit different than any previous years. Plus we have a date to resolve. Once I can get some confirmations done, I will be putting up a detailed post about the setup, and probably have a poll up as well. More on all this later today or tomorrow morning.

Thanks.

Dude, just apply for a Nexus card. Cheaper and will do the same thing. You have plenty of time, so get the application in tomorrow! lol

I'm pretty sure they aren't that fast! lol But I will get some details for you guys, don't worry!

Well, according to Mike, the rate would make this the highest cost hotel we have ever ventured to stay at. BUT AT THE SAME TIME, this isn't any normal hotel. As I said, more details shortly to follow, once I can do some follow up stuff with their staff.

Some already know where we are thinking of staying at, and are jazzed about this place. :D So stay tuned, more to come.
