Just got it inspected last week. And this is the only car I don't have a State Trooper get-out-of-jail-free sticker on. haha

CT no longer has emissions or registration stickers... we also don't have inspection really. They just do an emission test and its all saved by your plate number so a cop just runs that and gets all the info he needs.

Yeah there is... Make the ECU say you pass emissions when your still running catless... as noted there is no "inspection", hence why my pink car can have 5% tint on it.
As far as the rest goes, No you can't register a car or have a valid registration if you do not get it emissions tested, or carry insurance. They wont give you a registration at all if you don't have proof of insurance.

We have a few tricks here... modified stickers/ stickers for another car and such. The DMV and the police are totally separate, a cop can run your plate and will receive no information about your inspection. Its kinda silly that these days they cant make that happen in PA but I'm not complaining.

My cars have always had illegal tint and the inspection places don't care. They never noticed my red signals or EGR delete either. And technically the Camaro is supposed to have all the smog crap (AIR pump, etc) and a cat too. Up to 95 inspection in NY is easy, 96+ its blows because we've adopted CA emissions. That's actually why I bought a 94 TBI truck instead of a 96-98 stock Vortec.

Here, if you don't get your emission test you can't renew your registration. That's only on 96 and newer OBD-II though.

In Cali all vehicles 1973 (i think) and newer must have a bi-annual smog check.
