Having trouble with the low coolant light being on. If I drive the car for an extended period at better than 110 KM/hr the light goes out and stays out until I slow down for a traffic light etc then it comes back on.  Where's the sensor located on an '88 Base with 2.8L and 5 speed/  I want to disable it at the source

The sensor sticks out of the rad on the rt side behind the grille. Unplugging it will keep the light on all the time. The sensor needs to be popped out, the metal strip cleaned off, and put back in. The cooling system needs to be refilled, and the terminal on the wire that goes to the sensor needs to be checked for a clean contact and good connection.

That wire needs to be grounded out, The GTU is doing the same thing, because the female connector on the end of my wire is nearly corroded away.
