problems with my headlights

Ok my problem is sometimes when I turn my headlights off they stay on until I turn my car off and by sometimes i mean about 3 times in the last two weeks.  I just swapped a 96 engine harness and dash harness from a corisca into my 95 Z26.  I had to add my foglight wiring but I don't think that's the problem.  I also rewired my courtesy module so I could use the one from my 95 (its the blue one) in the 96.  When I did that I found the 96 module had an extra black wire for the turn signal which I didn't use because the 95 didn't need.  I chose to rewir that so I didn't have to drop $10 into another electronic flasher. My car does not have DRL's and never did so theres no problem there.

I'm thinking it's either the headlight switch, a relay for the headlights if they have one, or any other suggestions. The reason I don't think it's the headlight switch is because wouldn't the lights stay on when I turned the key off?

The DRL components would be in the dash harness, wouldn't they?

yeah i found the drl components are in the dash harness and the photo eye mounts under the windshield vents it looks like.  also says DRL's are only on canadian cars which mine and my donor are not.

I'm sure it is my DRL's I swapped accidently with my 96 harness.  i didnt swap the photoresister over for the DRL's because i though some 96's didnt have them.  my mistake.  I just took the whole module out for now.  i asked somebody to unplug theirs and they lost their cruise.  My brake idiot light is on because of this to I think.  I pulled the bulb, no biggie I'll mess with it later.  I have a TCC code which is blocking my cruise anyways so when I can straighten that out I'm sure I can straighten the brake light stuff out.
