I changed out the cruise control servo and the cruise still doesn't work..now. also my other problem is my rpms...when started its at about 2200 and while driving they are higher than normal..at about 40mph there at about 4000to 5000...just wondering if this may be contributing to the cruise not working... I have an appointment tommorow morning to have the car looked at for the rpm issue.any insight and I can take a look at it this evening.thanks

If your turning 4-5k at 40mph you have a major trans issue and it sounds like its running in limp mode which yes will not allow the cruse control to work.

The module is behind the dash.
The switches on the brake pedal are sometimes the problem

i was going to say a vacuum line, but that isnt going to make your car not use all it's gears...

Yea than last night and on Friday evening when I had it in reverse it like surged and sounds like it choked and last night I backed out of my driveway and it shut off when in reverse.

Ok, just got back from 2 different shops...both put a digital tach on the car and needless to say the tach in the car is way out of wack... also as i noticed over the summer and it was just confirmed i need new throttle body bushings... 2 bad they dont sell them sepereately so now i have to buy the whole tba from rockauto... but whats the deal with the cruise not working for me as ive changed the servo out over the weekend and checked the fuse as well. anything else i can look for?

As far as your dash goes, did you install a different cluster with a tach?

No it still has the original cluster...maybe something can be disconnected here? I just ordered a new throttle body assembly as my throttle gets stuck once in a while..I'm buying a standalone tach tommorow unless I can fins out why just the tach is out of wack for.

Thinking the dash or something got wet? I was going to say its a 4 cylinder dash but aparently he's never swapped it out so I guess thats out.
