do you any of you guys run pure gas instead of gas with ethanol? what kind of results do you get with mileage and performance?

Depending on the area of the country you live in they might not add ethanol into the fuel. If you live in the midwest, you'll pretty much find 10% in all of the fuels. Unless you go to a marina, they usually have fuel without ethanol added.

Gas mileage will actually be decrease with ethanol added because, it does not have the same amount of energy as gasoline.

Ethanol does however, have some advantages for performance but, it won't make any noticeable difference to the average street vehicle.

Can't contribute any info regarding straight gas since my area has always been additives in the fuel, it used to be methanol before ethanol, and the methanol was more efficient than what we have now, so we noticed a decrease when they switched... I'm sure straight gas from 90/10 will also be of better efficiency.

Ethanol slightly raises octaine raiting, allowing fuel companies to sell crappier gas. Has less stored energy, and decreases fuel mileage due to that fact.

It's a noticeable difference, if you always fill up at the same station with no eth, then switch to eth.

Kinda helps with the whole gas/water freezing thing here in the Midwest. But only slightly.

Frankly I prefer gas for my car that won't eat through my 20 year old fuel system. Thanks.

E10 will not eat through your fuel system, at that concentration its safe for all setups. Anything more concentrated on the E side of things, well all bets are off.

Here in Europe, we moved to ethanol gas just year ago. Since most German and Jap cars built before 95-00 can't run 10% mix without fuel system issues, they have to offer 5% mixture too. (basically fuel pumps will fail in time and possible leaks occur) American cars built after 1980(GM) 1987(Chrysler)~ should not have any issues they say.

The fuel usage went up 3% average from 0 to 10% ethanol fuel. Some engine management systems suffered the change more with weaken cold start issues for example, again not american cars.

I actually have list made by local officials about the cars that can, and can't take 10% ethanol mix.

That's what everyone says, I reserve judgement. Ive had an ethanol related fuel disaster.

And Obama has said he would like to see 15 to 20% eth concentations as standard. Again, no thanks.

Alcohol isn't good for non neo rubber. Or metal. So, meh.
