im putting a automatic back in my beretta and i really want to make sure i get a good trans. now, ive pulled many junkyard transmissions but never for myself. ive always pulled manuals. how can i tell other than the fluid if a trans is good?

Other than checking the fluid, you can pull the pan and check for an abnormal amount of metal debris. That's about it really...
