i hear a constant hum that sounds like it coming from the electrical system. it changes when i press the brakes, change gears, wipers, etc. i had a s-10 once that a had the exact same sound but it was always written off as the fuel pump and was just normal operation.
my electrical gauge also runs high.
it doesnt SEEM to be serious but i wanted to hear frome you guys. any thoughts?

Does it come from your radio? Make sure its off, then see if you still hear it.
And what is high on your gauge? Use a voltmeter and measure your voltage at the battery while its running to get an accurate idea. Does this noise persist while the engine is not running? In other words, doing different things while on just the battery?
Could also indicate a failing rectifier on the alternator.

my radio is rarely on since i have a 4 year old that isnt a white zombie fan
the gauge is pretty much always 3/4 of the way up. i'll have to check when the car isnt running. i havent paid any attention to that.
never knew the alternator had a butthole
the guy i bought it from said it was knew but he also said the a/c compressor was too. i had to replace it a week later. the last time we checked it with a voltmeter every thing was normal.
