Probably one of your best resources for building a turbo quad would be to check out quad4forums.com. There is a lengthy write up on how to turbo a quad and a lot of people there can really help you on your way. Also Rex would be a good person to talk too, he can point you in the right direction. Good luck and I hope you succeed with the turbo.

300 HP is attainable. Either use a LO Quad4 block, or purchase some custom pistons. 9 PSI with a T3-60 or larger turbo can net close to that 300 HP mark.
Turbocalc says 273 HP at 6200 RPM. My dyno showed about 234 HP at the wheels at 6200 RPM and we figured that to be about 280 HP.
I would guess you would need about 12 PSI to break 300 HP on HO cams, but that would be pushing the upper limits for the stock block components IHMO.

so far ive come up with this
ill rebuild the engine completely with a performance kit (if i can find one, anyone know where to look)
put w41 cams
put 2.5 exhaust i got no cat and a cheap magnaflow muffler on
cold air intake
bigger throttle body
put a turbo
put larger injectors and so on
if you have other ideas or if any of this is not worth while let me know
thanks

You might consider 3 inch exhaust. I don't think you'll be able to fit it past the rear axle though. You also need something to adjust fuel and spark.

RWD Volvos are good places to find turbos! A garrett turbo from an older model will do good for most of the boost you'd need. Or you can use the newer TD05 for quick spool up time, integrated wastegate and BOV, but less PSI.
I'm sure there are other people who would know better. But as long as you get something from a car with a similar size engine you should be pretty good.
