so i wanted to swap the subframes out of my quad gtz to 92+ style but keep the fe7 swaybar ect, i was going to use grand am brakes on it(assuming the lug pattern remains the same??) and the reason for the swap is to make everything under the hood 92+ spec, specificly the motor mounts. theres no 92+ gtz's around me anywhere, i was going to use the subframes from my quad z26 but i dont know if i can keep the fe7 front suspension then?? there is however a 92gt in the junkyard near me thats a v6, would the subframes work from that if they dont from my z26?

FE7 is just the bar and the springs. All Beretta subframes retain the same mounting points for swaybars regardless of engine/suspension combination.

Grand Am brakes of that era are the same as 92+ Beretta brakes... so I don't see the purpose of using a different car's setup.

okay, so i can use the subframes my z26 then, that should take care of the motor mount problem, and i can put the gtz sway bar in there, and my eibach springs... anyone happen to have a gtz front sway bar from a 93?? that would solve the problem with needing the gay tabs on the struts too and i could order new struts, unless you can buy new struts for a 91? with the tab?

You can buy new struts with the tab but just not KYB's... not sure how well others will deal with Eibach springs.

I thought 90-91 FE7 didn't have tabs; they had brackets that bolt on using the strut knuckle bolts.
92-93 are the years that the tab is necessary on the struts...

Sounds like your going to be welding some stuff anyway, why not just make tabs? Woody did it and they look good.

If not, theres a grand am or a acheiva or something at EZpull with brand new struts with tabs. There blue. Its the first car in the top row of GM, 1 or 2 rows to the left. I remember seeing it there

Because the mounts that are welded to the car are different from 91-92.

Your Z26 has those wonderful verticle rear bushing. If you just want the fe7 bar do as suggested previously and find a 90-91 setup with the knuckle mounted brackets and get the proper length endlinks. Those brackets are really all you need to find, they're on 90-91 GTZs and INDYs. If you want to upgrade to poly control arm bushings swap your subframes.

im taking the set up from the z26 and putting it into my 91 gtz. lol.
kurt, what mounts? im confused, it already has a 92-94 3.94 trans in it and the mounts for it welded in. the only mounts for the quad is the one on the inner fendor, and the other bolts to the bottom subframe.

you also need the links from the 90-91 if you wanted to use that style. the 92-93 style are like 3inches longer to bolt to the strut.
