Pretty cool Man!
It is my opinion that you need a MUCH larger turbo though..............

Bigger turbo???I rembered he said it was from a GMC Syclone.
What will power will do. Your welds are getting better..mine keep getting worse .
I still wish you'd monted the turbo suport braket on the trans or engine.. Hope you have solid monts .

Turbo should have been mounted to the engine/tranny. You will break something.
Looks like good progress otherwise.

Rex is right. That turbo has to be able to move with the engine/trans.
Otherwise it will be pulling everything apart.
You're still a better welder than me though.

Exactly.  He needs a bigger turbo ÂÂÂ
Hey Berettaspeed, what are you using for injectors with that?
Rex is right, if you have much engine movement, I don't think those springs are going to give you enough flex. Or do I remember you saying you had made solid engine mounts? If not, I think if you fill your mounts sith poly and use a tie down strap, the flex in the springs will probably be enough. I know my engine doesn't move AT ALL.

What are you doing for a wastegate?

i should have enough movement.  the engine doesn't move that much. i was impressed with how much it really moves. I can jack the engine up and down and watch it move. so i think it should be enough.
yes the turbo is from a 91 GMC syclone. 550cfm is enough for me. I can always upgrade to a 20G wheel easy. which again is more than enough for me.
I  don't know if it will work yet but i can a couple of set up ideas on the fuel system. i still need to buy a fuel pump. so i won't say until i get it working. what i have now should work fine though. not perfect but will do.
I will be filling all my mounts with poly. i heard from a couple people it works well.
I will be doing alot more once i get it running so everything works and looks nicer.I don't want to spend the money on top notch things if i can never get it to run. you know what i mean. i want to get something later that i can change everything dealing with ECU and such (stand alone). Right now i have a seperate computer that reads boost and supplies fuel based on that. but its not a FMU.  i don't know what its called though, i got it from a friend. i will be using seperat injectors with this for now. so it will look sloppy.

The syclone turbo has an internal wastegate. If you look close you can see the arm for the wastegate puck on the exhaust housing. It just doesn't have the actuator bolted on to it.

You say that now, but.....................
Just wait until you are boost addicted! ÂÂÂ
I can't wait to see that thing run. We will have to get together sometime this summer and go racing.

Poly will help a bunch on the mounts.
Good luck and let us know if you need any help with anything.
