FS - Cincy OH- Like new Tires!

Post by indyyellow »

These came off a Probe GT. Yes, my son went from the Berreta to a 96 Probe GT with a 5sp. Not a bad car, fun to drive.
Well anyways, I bought a parts car probe with new tires on it I don't need, just bought new ones for the sons car.

225/50/16 91V New Nexen brand

They have 3k miles on them which I can document. Will be mounted on Probe rims that you would get with them.

These rims WILL NOT FIT ON A BERETTA! Tires will, but not exactly the right size for a GTZ/INDY/Z26 16 inch wheel, but it'll work, if your looking for a wider, lower look. Maybe just keep the rims, and sell the tires. Maybe that will cut down on the shipping price, due to weight.

This is not a shorter lower tire, it's the exact 225 size you would use on a 16" rim for a Beretta.

When you have 205/55/16 and want wider, you need to increase the section width to 225, but to keep the tire the same overall diameter you need to go with a 50 profile rather than the 55, since that number is the percentage of the tire width which is the sidewall height, Increased width means you need a lesser percentage to keep the same sidewall height.

With Eibach lowering springs on my 94 quad Z26, 225/50/16 tires rub the inner wheel well up front at full turning lock, just an FYI.
