I have a 91 Beretta GT that I have two issues I need help with. First, the oil pressure gauge is sitting above max even in park. Oil has been changed within last 6mos and only about 3000 kms since. Second, my heat will not work on level 4. Any ideas? Please and thanks!!!

Won't work on level four? As in the highest fan setting?

As for your oil pressure, it is more than likely simply the sending unit. Hell I put a brand new oil pressure sensor in my '89 and it just reads at maxed out.

your blower motor resistor is bad, the blower motor resistor is on the metal box on the firewall it has a few wires plugged into it and has 7mm screws holding it in.

and your oil pressure sensor is bad. its right next to teh starter right above the oil filter. you will need the sensor with gauges when you go to the parts store.

yes, the fan setting... Oil pressure sensor and oil pressure switch are the same, correct?

If it is the blower motor resistor would it affect only one setting?

yes only one setting. sensor and switch should be the same. just make sure you order the correct sensor for the gauge otherwise your gauge will still read wrong.

Some call it an analog sender vs Digital, but most places will simply ask you if you have an oil pressure gauge or just a light.

Same goes for Ryan, go replace the sensor with one for a gauge. They are physically different too...

they will screw and plug in the same, just the gauge sensor is like 4 inches long and the other one is 2. you will more than likely need a socket to install that sensor, you can use channel locks but you run the possibility of tearing it up.
