I did a 3400 swap from a 2.2 so now im stuck with fixing the exhaust and the radiator. So if you have either one of them please let me know (downpipe must be a 3400 one, the 3100 downpipe will not work)

There is no 3400 downpipe that works in a beretta if your using the 3400 manifolds you need to custom make one... Me and Slinky already had this argument. Info can be found if you search for 3400 Downpipe on here.

As far as the radiator goes, whats the issue there? The 2.2 radiator isn't any different... Same part number listed for the V6 on RA. Do you have 3100 95 hoses to work with? That may be your only issue.
I take back that last statment... if you started with a 95 2.2 Manual, then yes you are running the equvilant radiator as the 96 3100 beretta, so you just need to get 96 hoses for a V6 and it should fit fine.

Hmmm AutoZone has different parts numbers for the radiator..

Oh and what all will I need to make a downpipe? In other words where will I find this flange and will I need a flex pipe?

Read the thread I linked. I'm not re-posting again.
And yes, there are different radiators between a 3.1 and 2.2 for a 95 radiator but the 2.2 95 radiator is the same as the 96 3.1L so all you need is 96 3.1 hoses, didn't I already say that though?

That's because they are different radiators. A 5 speed radiator does not have the built in tranny cooler hook-ups like the auto radiator does...

Thats not true for every brand.. Rock auto lists the CU1515 for the 2.2 with Manual trans. It's the same radiator for the 96 3100 Beretta with an Auto.
Bottom line he never did say what his issue with it is other than its a different part number, and I'm not even sure what he was comparing to.

it seems like the 3.4 runs hot so i was assuming that the 3100 radiator had a better cooling capacity

I don't imagine that it has better cooling capacity since they're the same part #.. As stated by Jon.
What temp of thermostat did you put in your car? If you put in a 195 thermostat and your 2.2 had a 180 then it would obviously be different... Also, the 3x00 can be hard to "burp". Personally I would be checking other things before buying a new radiator. But it's your money.

Could have a plugged up rad too though. However, I agree, the radiator should not be that different to be a problem for you. I bought a brand new radiator on Ebay for like 60 bucks though, when I replaced the one in the base. Only problem with that one was, the radiator was for a 96 year, so it had a different intake fitting location. Just meant I had to buy a new hose for that side, no big deal.
You do have to burp the system. There is a bleeder valve to help with this located on top of the stand pipe coming from the water pump. Should be two brass nuts, you loosen the top most one till you see coolant bubble out of it. You don't remove it, just loosen. Once you get a solid stream of coolant, you then tighten it back. Finger tighten only. You should do this, after engine is up to proper temp (take it for a drive first) and do that a few times. Eventually you will get all the air out.

I don't care if a company makes a so-called "universal" fitment one and a Parts Website lists it as so... That still doesn't make it the same as what the car was equipped with. What I stated was true, no need to argue that statement, thanks.
Regardless, it never hurts to change a radiator on vehicle's this old!
