People that swapped q4 for v6 and vice versus

This is a question that were left with no choice to swap a 4 banger out for a v6 and had to use the harness that remained in the swap car.

When you put in the q4 motor and reused the v6 harness, did you find out you had to repin the ecu connectors? Or were you able to just swap in the q4 ecu and that's it? I know the engine bay side you had to either swap harness or lop off a connector and add in the ones needed for cts, icm, and injector harness (maybe) . I am just curious about the harness as I was fortunate to have the donor harness with motor and trans when swapping from different beasts.

The engine harness plugs directly to the ECM, there is no connector on passenger side of the firewall, it's just bolt-on plastic block with wires going thru, so swap the harness and ECM.

That engine harness also shares HVAC stuff too FWIR.

no. Might be looking for a pre ABS, auto trans 3.1 MPFI NOT sfi V6 harness.
