I remember, quite a while ago over at Bstuff.com, somebody sold factory Beretta ignition keys which were not machined but could be made a matching pair to any existing key.
Anybody knows where I could get ahold of them?
One of my cars came with only 1 key and it would be a shame if I lost it...

Otherwise I will order a new ignition switch that comes with 2 keys.

Dealers should be able to provide them....

Geoff had some and IIRC they were the wrong shape anyways at least for me, but yeah dealers should be able to get them but one time I did have one cut at a dealer and the key was simply a metal one with a slip on POS plastic cover and not the plastic that is molded onto the key.

The top key was the one I had cut to match before realizing it wouldn't work, you can see where it was different though compared to the bottom key, so match your key shape to a picture before buying it.





My key has a base similar to the VAT's style keys but without the chip.


Post up a pic of your key to see if the base is the same as mine.

I was able to get a key made at a local Do it Best hardware store. Maybe if you check a number of stores you'll be able to find one.
Also, I was able to make a regular key work in my Beretta with some filing.
Another hardware store accidentally made a regular Chevy key duplicate. I filed back the plastic on the head toward the ring opening
so it can go into the lock further and I had to remove a the lower male groove which is not shown in the pictures posted here.
If you can do this, you'll have a spare. It's easier then changing the ignition lock.

I think it more of the fact that he wants genuine GM original keys to go with his mint GTZ.

@3X00-Modified: My Ignition keys look like yours, the bottom one on the photo (on the ring). Mine is marked with an "E" (straight, in the same direction as the GM name on the plastic), yours does not have any mark?

The upper one on the photo which you had cut looks just like my door lock keys from its shape.
But my door lock keys have a "H" mark...actually I need a blank for doors/trunk too! Its even worse...there are no matching new door/trunk lock sets available, so changing locks is not really an option unless you want 3 keys to operate your car.

And yes, I would want one that looks like an original one...

That key pictured is a GM replacement key, it has the slip on plastic sleeve... I believe my original keys have the same markings your describing.

My door key has and H on it I know that for a fact since I have the keys with me, but the ignition one is the same as pictured above. The original keys are at home I believe.

And yes I agree that upper key does look like a door key not an ignition style.

Found it!!

We have a B77 ignition key and a H door key.

I do not know why its marked with an E as well since those are NOT the same cut.
