Well If you went with just internals you could use a higher compression piston setup and go that route......but I wouldnt go delving into that realm until you did the basic three....intake...header....exhaust......no cheap Ebay crap either.....get real parts with real results......then you can go from there with maybe upgraded fuel systm and igntion.......you cant just go throwin new internals in there and expect it to be a burner...........You have to build up to that part......or build around that idea..........plus you cant just go ripping into a block right away.....you'll end up spending way more money due to high labor costs without much gain.

contact rex or steph/eric about the quads. There is a intake and exhaust manifold that is better than the others, I believe they are the 92 versions. A header is available from The Race Shop that will help you out. Unless you get the header, the first thing is to port the exit to the exhaust manifold and run a 2.5" exhaust pipe from it. Get w41 cams and the computer. Make sure you have an 086 head. More than the stock H.O. compression ratio is going to require race gas. Im not a quad expert but the three names I gave you are. Do some searching also, this has been discused before.

They are still fun in the sense that you can hack them to **** and you don't feel bad for taking the car's value down a peg since it was never worth anything to begin with. It has been a great learning tool for me.

Heh! I am on my third engine, not to mention that I am gaining a cylinder on each bank. My Beretta has been boosted, stolen and returned only to find another project for it. After 18 years it is still beckoning to be a beta project car.
I'll probably keep it until the body panels are flapping going down the highway.
