I need the part #'s for the kyb shocks and struts for the 95-96 suspension setup. I'm also wondering if anyone has run these with stock FE3 springs. This is for my 96 Z26, it needs shocks and struts bad, and I figured I'd get these and just use my stock springs untill I come across a set of 95-96 Eibachs. Thanks

Please use Rock Auto and use the APPLICATION LOOKUP... why do we have to do it for you?

I doubt running kyb's with stock springs would any different than stock struts and shocks.

On rock-auto there are 2 different ones I belive, and they both say for cars without sway bar bracket. I'm assuming I need ones that are for the cars with the sway bar bracket because it's a Z26 right? Tire rack seems to say the same thing. They say "without sport suspension". Can someone plea just tell me what it is that I need exactly, so I don't buy the wrong parts.

You don't have sway bar brackets

it doesnt matter about the sway bar brackets... i think when looking further into the part #'s at parts stores, you only get the option of the shocks with the sway bar bracket (happened to me recently at carquest)... it's just an added 'tab' of metal that is not in the way of anything when not used

Kyb's never came with swaybar brackets period so if you want KYB's which many run on Z26's then you get them without... Sway bar brackets are for FE7 SPORT SUSPENSION only... FE3 is classified as Ride and Handling IIRC not the same as the Sport.

According to the window sticker that came with my 95 Z26 it came with Level II Sport Suspension, but i have no rear sway bar, that i know of. also states options installed by manufacturer,16" Alum wheels w/locks(incl performance handling suspension)

So does anyone know what I have? thanks

Almost all Z26's are FE3 check the RPO code on your spare tire cover.

Everything that's listed on rock auto for your year will work, and there were no visual differences between struts or shocks on the base vs the Z26, they were all externally equal as far as installation goes.

I do not know why KYB lists something as w/swaybar bracket and wo/swaybar bracket since none of their rear shocks have any sort of swaybar bracket. The KG5576 is listed as the "sport suspension" and the front struts are listed as exc sport suspension, it doesn't mean it wont fit, it simply means it may not perform the same.

Ok so I need the only kyb struts listed that say w/o swaybar braket. Now for the shocks I go with the ones that say w/ swaybar braket right, I think thats what you posted a link for 3X00 right. Do these shocks & struts come with the mounting hardware, or do I have to get it all separately?

You should just ignore all that swaybar blah blah blah crap like he said, it does not matter for your car... You can get the GR2's for the front and the GR2's or Gas-A-Just (a bit stiffer) for the rear. The rear shocks come with new mounting hardware, the front struts do not. I would replace your front upper strut mounts and rear shocks mounts at the same time while you're at it.

You have FE3. And the ONLY Beretta's that had EXTERNAL rear sway bars were 1988's (GT or GTU) equipped with the Z51 option. Almost all other Beretta's had an INTERNAL sway bar.

It's kinda weird though, They do have two different gas-a-just ones listed for the rear of that year range... The only difference I can see is they list one as the replacement for sport suspension and the other as not at least on some sites it's listed like that... So I almost wonder if the ones they are saying are w/swaybar bracket are slightly stiffer.

Either way they still only offer one front option which I think is crap since that option is for the non FE3 cars or as they list it Recomended OE equivalent... Granted I don't know if they are valved to be FE3 or not but I doubt it.

SO for the rear give the KG5576 p/n a shot since that (on their site) says w/swaybar bracket, and other sites are dubbing that as w/sport suspension. But either one you go with they will both fit, it's just actually a question on if they are valved differently. I'll send them an e-mail and find out too.
