guy was off duty and recognized a wanted felon at a gas station. called it in for back up and tried to stall the guy until help arrived. the fugitive shot him in the head and several times in the chest. his pregnant wife watched from their car and went into labor. sad day for local law enforcement.

its unknown so far what the guy was wanted for but he was a gang member and drug dealer.

the ATF and SBI were all over the seen earlier and caught the guy i think. my wife was across the street at the ruby tuesdays about an hour after it went down. she sent me a text telling me the ATF was crawling the store.

the store was right off i-95 and is constantly busy. a major tire store and bank on one side and several food joints within 50 yards. a walmart, lowe's and a huge strip mall right behind and across the street. there's no end to how many other people could have been injured or killed because some guy didnt want to go to jail.

there are several different versions of what officially happened since it was only lunch time today.

yup.....good ole robeson county. we are known all over the world for gangs, drugs, and murders.

1- james jordan, michael jordan's father, was murdered about 10 mins south on 95
2- afeni shakur lives a short bike's ride away from my house
3- the halfway point between miami and new york.....the rest stop for the cocaine hi-way, if you will
4- bloods, crips, MS13, kings, and god knows how many local gangs we have
5- our newspaper office was once held hostage in the 80s.....i think that made the national headlines

EEK, you are in the bad bad badddd part of the St. Louis area.
I am currently living out in St. Peters, grew up in Maryland Heights.
Was downtown just like 2 weeks ago, but havent been to the east side in years.
If youre looking for a anything goes strip club, or a $5 hooker, NOTHING beats the east side.

I am currently living out in St. Peters, grew up in Maryland Heights.

I live by Collinsville. Lol funny we were talking about money the other day and my 8 yr old stepson said I needed to get a job at the "hook club" where people just put money in your pants!
