I washed my GTZ today, I miss driving it. It sucks being poor. I won;t give up or get rid of her, but it just sucks I went from having one of the cleanest and nicest (stock) gtz's in MA to having it still be beautiful, but after all that money I spent (gaskets & timing chain rebuild) I am yet again at square one. I need help hopefully some nice guys can come hang out with me and work on this car with me. SO anyways figured I'd rant.. sorry..
oh and I miss my 5/spd indy

RIP
- TOM
** ps ** it just sucks when you work 3 jobs, yet never have money. the bills I have to catch up on are scary and I am being as much of a man as I can be. I have never opened up online like this before, hopefully people don't think I'm weak or anything. I wanna take my GTZ to a car show once it's fixed and make everyone proud.. I may be dreaming, but one day I would like to go to Bfest, just once, and be with people who truly understand just how ADDICTED I am to these cars. Ok, I'm really going now, until next time,

I know how you feel buddy I've been 4 months since I bought my 90 GTZ without a working engine harness but I bought KRISGTWHAT'S 91 harness, so at least it's a start now when I get that installed I have to spend $850 for a used 1992 w-41 engine from my local salvage yard, they only can locate one in the US and it just happens to be in my state so when I get her she's getting a good rebuild and I just might turbo it

bit that's when I get money so until then I get to look at on the 4 car ramps I jacked it up on I need to buy a new fuel pump and run new fuel lines, man all I want to do is drive her before winter but I doubt that will happen, the only beretta I've ever driven was my 95 z26 I sold to my dad I loved it , bit I found this on Pittsburgh craigslist for $800 and I asked him if he would take 500 he said no he'd have to have $700 and then I pointed out all of what's wrong with it and asked if he would take $600 he said yes let's do it, so I was happy I now had one of my dream cars, so then I started working on her and looking for a harness noone had one until krisgtwhat contacted me and that was 2 months ago the next 2 months I spent looking for a 1990 harness and then I gave up cause everyone got rid of their 90 parts cars and every 90 GTZ listed in about 30 junkyards from California to Maine crushed their berettas so I thought I was SOL so I decided to buy his harness cause the salvage yard said that my original motor was the same as an 89-91 GM car such as of course beretta GTZ, Cutlass Calais, cutlass calais 442, Grand Am, and skylark, the only difference is between a 90 and 91 beretta is the cruise control so if I can change that I'm going to just so I don't have to hack Kris's perfect harness

If I lived close to you, I'd definitely help you with your car.
It's just that I live in Labrador, Canada and the gas would be astronomical to get there LOL
In my life, my mental health always took a back seat and now i'm paying the price. I have a long history of manic depression, schizophrenia, violent anger, alcoholism and drug abuse on both sides of my family and I avoided it. I avoided it long enough that it started to rot me away from the inside. Now I actually have to put some of my life on hold to get my inner self back to center again.
It's nice to truly work through some things I should have 15 years ago, but I wish I would have dealt with these things and was open with my loved ones (and even the folks on the internet forums) so that I didn't have to take a step back from life, so that I can continue having one.

My car sits with hail damage and broken transmission, I want to fix it but don't have the funds at the moment.
I'm out on maternity leave with no pay, just got married too. We bought house in january, had garage floor repoured, fenced back yard, bought new appliances/furniture/etc. Then had tornado come through in April which damaged my house roof (which we had to replace and insurance didn't cover it all), beretta, and mustang. Our mustang is in body shop right now getting hail damage fixed.
So here I sit with no car to go anywhere, my husband works 50-60 hrs a week and yet it's barely enough to get by with 3 kids. And he was sick and out of work for a week due to his medical issues. I'm very thankful for all the family support we've had. But I can't wait to get back to work and start saving up money!! Sad thing is, I've put over $2,000 in my beretta over the past year and I really don't feel it as a priority now. Honestly debating on buying a new car for me (that will accommodate all our kids) and fixing up the beretta over the next few years for my step son (who will be driving in a few yrs).

yeah Tom, keep looking ahead. i'm in a tough spot as well... working around 3 jobs (and back to school in september) as well as trying to sell my house (which is currently a huge burden as it's more than i can afford at this time). Just keep on the lookout for better opportunities, and talk to as many people as possible... one may hook you up with a great job... you never know.
where are you located too?

There are never enough hours in the day to get everything accomplished. My poor Beretta is still on wheel dollies from October, untouched. Sometimes your priorities have to be different from the way you want them to be.

Yup, my K5 is sitting behind my parents house with no drivetrain and has been that way since this time last year pretty much
Even my Corsica is currently sitting with only half of it's engine in place

Right now my living room still needs the trim work done after the new floor and wall paint...cause I ended up back in the garage working on the Camaro again. haha
