Where is the CPS sensor loacted and is it hard to replace? I have a 2.8 with a MAF sensor system doing the same thing and im thinking that this may be the problem, my tach goes all funny too, like suggested above. I've checked the coils, ok. I know its not water in the fuel and i even tried unpluggi...

Incase your still looking i have everything from the heads up and i will sell it all for $150, the heads were machined and new seals and valves but never put on the car

Ive relized now that i lose my cruize control aswell. And no, my lighter is fine.

i dont know why but i keep blowing the fuse that contols all my guages and my daytime running lights, when i turn my lights on after this happens i get the ding ding noise. i think the fuse is something to do with courtesy lights but im not at my car and will have to let you know for sure later.

you CAN bypass the a/c compressor, i bought a pully from the gm dealer and it costed me like 15 bucks CDN then you just buy the bbelt w/o A/C, but you have to make sure that theres a threaded part for that pully on your block, bacause not all cars are compatible to switch to that.

maybe a problem with your guage

try the map sensor thats should be located by your firewall, i had one of those cars that did the same and thats what i had to replace, then it ran fine. see if you can pick one from a boneyard first so you dont spend all kinds of money.

Can a 3800 SFI bolt in place of a 3.1 easily??     If I can do it I wanna try, but im not too fond of doing any modifications. Does it work with my 3.1 computer?
