thank you for your help i really appreciate it. i dont expect it to come out and work forever if it just makes it till my jeep is done i will be ok. to be honest it amazes me it has made it this long and i am happy it got me through college.

i will just see how it does like i said it is usually intermittent so maybe it will come out of it. my fluid is full checked it so i will wait and see.

thanks for the help hopefully i will get this figured out and il have lockup back. i hope it will make it as long as my cousins beretta same exact year he has lost 4th gear all togethor lost it about 200k now his beretta has 260k and he just gave it to his parents for them to drive.

dont get me wrong i do love it i normally get awsome highway fuel economy and its not in bad shape. but there are many problems with it technically it should have been totaled out. it got hit hard enough to deploy the air bag also my exes sisted backed into it and dented the drivers side fender pret...

this isnt a huge issue to me i would like to fix my tcc if it does need a new solenoid il have to get into the pan anyways. i havd made my money back on this car it was just for college for the most part

and when i say brown i mean to look at it it looks brown but there is a red tint all my trannies have had red tint but the fluid has been dirty.

when i was in school and had automatics class pretty much we were told if you have never changed it dont worry cause all the friction material on your clutches is in you fluid. iv actually only had one car that had red tranny fluid even after a change

brown fluid as in tranny fluid? i didnt mention that was that on another post from a long time ago? and my fluid has always been dirty not gonna change it since it most likely hasnt been changed so alot of the clutch material is probably in the fluid. if it will throw trouble codes most likely there...

Hold off for better info before you do anything. I just took a guess. If the switches are the problem you will have to take off the side "pan"(cover). The 4T60e trans god here is 3X00. didnt even realize you had posted i was replying to the first post and must have posted right as you did...

i wont pull the trigger on this before i am sure. do these cars have trouble codes for the tranny in them? i know they are obd1.5 but obd1 had atleast a tcc code so i would hope these had some code.

i ran a truck like this forever but the tranny did not like it found that out with a temp gauge. now im not familiar with these but do you have to drop the pan to replace the solenoid?

ok guys so i have a 95 beretta 3100 4t60e randomly i would lose lockup along with random gears. usually i would let it set for a minute or let it set over night for lockup and it would start working again. now i have no lockup at all and no check engine light. is this a common problem with these? my...

the speedo is still registering it is intermittent tho its only done it a couple of times and knock on wood it hasnt done that since but its still a scary thought though
