99 Grand Prix GTP questions
As some know, my stepson gets his driving permit next month, so I bought him a 99 Grand Prix. Overall it's in decent shape, runs great. Body has some clear coat fading and hail damage (but being that it's black it's not that noticeable). Only problems are slight noise in the belt tensioner and the r...

Re: Happy 2015 Everyone. Plans? Resolutions? Predictions?
Well, I sold my wrecked car this past fall. I don't plan on getting another Beretta anytime soon. I don't have any plans for my Focus other than to get the front window brow tint redone. I'd like some wheels eventually, but that may wait until I need new tires. I have a 72 El Camino SS (which is not...

Re: New DD (not a Beretta)
I had one (96 F150 with i6 5spd). Gave it to my father in law. Still runs and drives just fine. Has around 275,000 (last I checked) and still on the original clutch even! This "hideous" leak? We had to replace the valve that switched from tank 1 to tank 2 before. The back tank would always...

Re: New daily driver.
I'm hoping they have it all ready today or early in the morning (I'm leaving for a road trip).
I was a little leery as this is the first ever 4 cyl I have ever owned, but then I saw the hp rating is pretty much the same as the beretta so I can live with that lol

Re: New daily driver.
Which is why mine is a 5 spd ;) I read ALL the reviews I could find and there were a lot of complaints about how the autos shifted and that was pretty much it. I suspect that this was a lot of people that didn't realize how they were supposed to shift and that they drive like a 5 speed and if I had ...

Re: New daily driver.
I actually ended up with another beretta, so I traded it and our motorcycle for this. Still going to fix my beretta and hand it over to my stepson.

New daily driver.
Well...ever since I wrecked my beretta I've been driving a slightly modified 08 mustang gt 500+ miles a week. Needless to say the gas bills have been enormous...so the new car will basically pay for itself. 2013 focus with 12,000 miles on it. Signed all my papers today and hopefully they have it rea...

Re: Apology
I said I wouldn't reply, but I will... There is no need to apologize to me. What was done is done, I knew there were other things going on and I'm glad things ended when they did. Just another step along the broken road that led me to where I am today. Honesty is my best (and worst) quality. So here...

Re: Apology
Ozzwoman9, that is one beautiful Z26 that you have! Thanks, but that pic is old and it's been hail damaged and wrecked and probably coming back to life soon ;) And I only commented on the initial post because I think this effects at the very least 5-6 people (maybe more) that frequent the forums an...

Re: Apology
If I had to guess I'd say this is more of a "personal" situation and not a car one, but something directed to a few people whom are on this forum. I'm pretty sure I know and others know what this is about and some of the people involved knew what was going on for a while, a few others were...

Re: What is your breaking point? (Owning the Beretta)
Let's see... I still have mine. As of the just last 2 years... Baseball sized hail dents all over hood, roof, trunk. Transmission out of a 99 Alero. Paint starting to chip and rust forming in door jambs and between wheel well and gas tank. Driver's side floor board a wet mess. Most remember mine as ...

Re: Fan
I know the gauge isn't accurate, but I've had the car long enough to know when it's getting hot. I noticed this the other day when the radiator was basically drained and I was bleeding air out of the system. I might just wait and deal with this in the spring/summer since its not really an issue righ...
