Trust me, its not "reflective". However its labeled as Ruby Red/Luster Metallic.

It is a nice catchy red color though. As I said, I think it will look great with black. I can always ship you a section though. Just have to let me know how much length you want. 15" wide by whatever. I can easily get one of those shipping tubes at the post office, probably can ship whatever for around 10 bucks or something. I only paid 33 bucks for the whole damn roll with shipping!
Dammit...that reminded me...i owe you and antenna!!! Well, if it is metallic and not reflective, i think that may be closer to what was in there anyway...i would only need enough to do the stripes on the lower filler/tails twice (just in case i screw up the first). Let me know how much if you are really willing to ship me a chunk.

Tell you what. I did a quick measurement, I know the 15" wide material is plenty wide enough to go from each edge to the letters (the space is like 10-11 inches on each side of BERETTA). So...... I will cut you off like a foot long piece. You could make 5 or 6 sets with that considering the strip you need is just less than an inch! LOL

I can put that in a tube with the shorty and ship it out to you for... hmmmm 10 bucks? I know the tube and postage will be like around 5 or 7 bucks anyway.

Let me know if that works. If you want more, just let me know I can make it longer, no charge. Not too worried about getting the longer antenna, I have a source to pull one here local too if that will help. Otherwise let me know.

Not sure if I sent it, but paypal is dtmace@msn.com. I don't care if anyone has the email anyway, no worry to me.

Today, my radio in the base has started to die I think. Crackling out while playing CD's it actually sounds like a bad radio station, then it will stop, and like reset itself and maybe play ok for awhile. And if I smack it, that helps it for a while too. Guess its dying. It is a pretty old Pioneer unit.

So, I have a thread in the wanted section, looking for something to replace it with. If anyone has a decent head unit for like 50 bucks shipped or as less as can be reasonable. I don't have 200 to put into the head unit I want right now, so trying to find a useable alternative for the winter. As long as it has at least a decent CD (or even MP3 CD), 4 channel speakers (fronts and rears), an out for subs, and it works good, that's good enough for me!

Thanks!

Can you see what is wrong with these pictures?

Yep. Broken fan mounts. Been broken actually for a while.
As for the other picture..... Hose is now too short, cause the radiator inlet opening is in the MIDDLE not the TOP! Arg.... So I have to replace the hose... But that is the only issue for the cheap radiator.

I also removed the condenser and cut back the A/C line. Not going to need it, the condenser was all bent in anyway from a previous accident. I have it all back together, just need the new hose, fill and bleed the system.

Yeah, me too. I did find a replacement hose today (I think), but will have to wait till Sat or Sun before I can try it. Fan may have to wait a bit. I have yet to have the fan even kick on, so not too worried yet anyway. I about bet I could drive this thing without a fan all year long up here. :D

Anyway.

Just waiting on some stuff to get here, so I can get more done, etc. Been busy with family and holidays.

Well, radiator is done.

Installed a new hose for the return, filled her up. Still burping out some trapped air, but overall its fine. No leaks yet that I have found. New bleeder works good. BTW I have spares if anyone needs one! lol 5 bucks shipped.

Debating on whether I should have replaced the T-stat after all though. Seems to me that the temp still fluctuates a lot. Like the stat closes, temp goes up to about half, then it opens and the temp goes back down to just above a quarter. Most noticeable when coasting (temp rises) then when you get back in the throttle and pick up the RPM it drops back down. Hard to describe, and its not always doing it. I guess it could be a water pump not flowing enough? It did it before I changed the radiator too. Most of the time though it hovers just above a quarter on the gauge like my Z. Nothing else odd, still no coolant in my oil or out the exhaust either.

I guess all I can do is keep an eye on it. I do know the low coolant light does NOT work. Tank was empty a couple times and nothing ever came on, so maybe the bulb is bad or missing.

Looks like you got a 96 radiator and not a 95 one. They moved the inlet to the middle on 96. Also you could have just used a 96 hose and it would fit perfect.

Also the low coolant thing is a magnet sensor, so I would guess the magnet is goo'd up in there and just doesn't move.

Think about how your water pump is driven Ace. It's BELT DRIVEN. What happens while coasting? The motor is idling, thus very slow impeller speeds at the water pump due to the belt drive. Under throttle impeller speeds go up with belt speed.

It's possible your impellers are WORN, causing them to be less than optimally functional, but what you describe to me sounds like a perfectly functioning coolant system.

You know SGR, when you cap words LIKE THAT, it makes people think that YOU think they are stupid or something. Just saying.. lol

I know very well how the pump operates and the fact that, yes the lower RPM will cause less flow. What I was pointing out, was that it does NOT act like my 94 in the sense that I see more fluctuation in the temperature gauge. I was comparing this to prior experience with a similar car. This may indeed just be a normal characteristic. Since I haven't really seen any other specific detailings of moment to moment driving of another beretta's cooling system, I figured that by describing what I was seeing, maybe someone would say something like... "Hey, mine does the same thing, probably normal" Or "Hey, you may want to check this, I had that same symptom and this is what it was."

Not "Hey dumbass, I think you overlooked the obvious."

LOL

Sorry, missed your post.

That makes sense, I did not know they had a different fitting style for 96. Interesting. Had I but known, I would have done exactly that! LOL Where were you earlier when I first put the pics up??? :P

As for the other, yeah it's possible. May look into it, if I have to take it apart again sometime. :D

Headlights look good. I have them on the list for my car over the winter. I'm still running the 95Z ones that have seen a zillion winter miles with salt, etc.

Thanks. I'm still amazed at how bright the silverstars are that Ron left in them for the low beams. Bloody well lights up signs better than many cars I have had. Though I might have them aimed a tad high at the moment, not sure. They don't look it, but they might be. Or its the 89 style lens. lol

The polish work was a PITA but it turned out, so I'm happy.

ONE of these bloody days I need to adjust the bright switch! Just glad to have it back on the road for now though...
