AND YES they are full street legal!!! with parachutes.. hahaha I dont see the beretta quite fitting in with these.. the beretta is still more of a dd then a drag strip car..but if these 2 can do it.. im sure who ever has erics beretta can...

GOD DAMMIT I SIMPLY SAID HE BUILT IT FOR DRAG RACING that's why its missing heat and missing A/C HE DIDN'T PUT IT TOGETHER WITH THE INTENTION TO DAILY DRIVE IT. I don't give a gently caress if a Beretta is a DD type of car and not fitting in with drag cars, that's NOT WHAT I MEANT.

No it's not in the same class as a 6sec V8 powered car, it's a $2k engine with god who knows what in the trans in a FWD car doing 13's

If you can't understand what I meant by this post then I give up trying to explain to WHO bought it WHY these things are NOT there.

So why did you type in caps? I know you've been around long enough to know what that represents on the WWW.

when I first read your post jene i didnt think it had anything to do at all with what everyone is talking about. it seems you went off on a tangent and upset some people with your reply. I too was sort of offended with what you wrote because you dont know what is into eric's car.

There are plenty of Berettas out there that were built for the strip. If you want to DD it that's fine, but as steph kinda hinted at, to basically say that a beretta can't be a full strip car and will always be more of a DD is not accurate in my opinion. Which is what you said. No way around that. I know you work at a drag strip and see a lot of fast cars, but if I wanted to drag race a snowmobile, I will. (and I have) and yes, it was built for the strip. Not snow, lol.

So why couldn't I do that with a moped or a Beretta. My point is it can be whatever you want it to be, and I have always gotten the feeling Eric was more interested in letting barb drag race the car than worrying about comfort.

If the new owner wants ac and wants to DD a car with horrible gear ratios for street driving, (until he swaps it I guess). That's fine, just seems like a lot of work for something that was purposely set up for something else. You could just 3500 swap something else rather than undo a bunch of someone else's work.

omg really? yup misunderstood...lol someone clean this up and i wont be posting anymore..lol there is a difference between "a" beretta and "the" beretta (case in point THE beretta in discussion)...yes we have 3 drag strip berettas at my track.. all rwd and v8's.. not 6 poppers and fwd... i race my car but in a street car dd class... not a full on drag strip car class... so let me guess you guys are going to turn all my posts around and say i am a beretta hater too..lol clearly i am. thanks to all for tearing my post apart and reading what you think it says between the lines and making it into something its not... hahaha

if ya missed the point.. the point is those 2 cars are more of a drag car then erics! but if those drag cars can be made street legal and dd's or partial dd's then erics car can sure be made that way too more easily then these 2 cars... and these 2 cars all they did was swap out thr rear titres before hitting the road... no gear change.. no tranny change..ect..ect my point is if you have erics car... take the time and do what needs to be done to it to make it a dd if thats what you want!

i dont know why you guys are arguing, this car was found at an impound lot in bad shape need some cleaning up and refinement there is no reason why it cant pull off 13s if not faster and bea joy to drive. its either going electric or manual transmission havent decided. yea it sucks eric let it happen we still dont know what happen even if he is ok? but its mine know iam going to change something and make it better in my opinion look at the bright side its stanying in a beretta and not in a j body ha

Manual transmission and a sway bar would be best for the streets

Honestly 90% of the crap in this thread doesn't need to be here. Take the pics to a new thread, keep the discussion on topic. If anyone hears from Eric, or more about what is going on with him update this thread, otherwise IT DOESN'T GO HERE

Ok I guess I'll clarify once more since my last post may be "forcing someone into hibernation"

Jene your reply had no relevance to anything that was being discussed about the car, SCD88GA took my statement and so did beretta92 completely the wrong way.

My main reply was referring to this ONE AND ONLY statement
beretta92 wrote:All tho there is some short cuts like no a/c or heat the car was well put together.
I was pointing out to the new owner that those were not SHORTCUT'S done during assembly but they were DELIBERATE due to the intended use of the vehicle.

I know Jene your talking about people who take their drag car out to the grocery store or drive it to the strip every once and a while, but that is far from DDing the car, so I'd be sure that those cars are missing some of those creature comforts that this new owner is complaining about being missing.

Others need to realize this is the FIRST... I'll say it again FIRST 3500 swapped car, I don't remember who exactly did the swap but I know for a fact that it was NOT Eric who did the work, so it may have been them who cut out the A/C and Heat for god who knows what reason.

Also if you guys were taking my statement to think you can't build a dual purpose car then I must be insane, because last time I checked my 12sec Beretta has driven to the past 4 national Bfests and who knows how many regional ones, all with working heat, and AC... So once again my statement was misconstrued...

My only intention here was to clear up what was done and what was not short cuts because he had no intention to drive that car like I do, or for any other purpose other than going to the local 1/4 and running in a street stock class and winning due to consistency and also being able to put down 13 sec slips from a FWD auto Beretta. I just thought that possibly the obnoxious shift points and high stall converter would be higher on the priority list than A/C, or be worth complaining about more.

And on the mod bashing a user comment... I have ever right to attempt to clarify what I said when someone takes my posts out of context and also I did not bash her at all, last I checked there is nothing in that post negative toward her. I capitalize words so you guys read them since most will skim and miss a lot... and yeah that's YELLING on the interwebz Geoff pointed out, but its because your MISSING the point so I'm trying to CLEAR it up. Now if I had edited a post, warned or banned a user because I don't agree with them or didn't like what they said to me then I could understand an uproar, but I have the right to respond just like any one of you would. The only function I take advantage of sometimes is the ability to lock editing on a post if a user decides to say something bad I will lock that one post so they can't go back and edit what they said remove the evidence since our forum doesn't show you edited unless you put a reason.

And Will sorry I just had to clear that up... and maybe someone will understand what I meant. Don't ban or warn me otherwise I wont do Lisa's head-gaskets... LOL
