Subframe connectors?

GTU89: As Woody said they are easy and you just use stock hardware. The strut tower(also the shock tower bar) are direct bolt ons for our cars.
On the newer cars you have to move the wiring harness a bit for the strut tower bar. On older cars the fire wall cover gets in the way some. For the shock bar only the trunk carpet is in the way(just cut it if you want).

judging by the welded subframe connectors on my camaro, i see no reason as to why you cant put something similar on a beretta. as to whether or not they do anything is another story.

mine are this style...
on a beretta you could make them pretty easy if you have a welder. i think you would need something than just straight steel ran front to back. with some diamonds and triangles. would be pretty cool if someone pulled it off.

Interesting... I'll have to look the next time I have it up on the lift to see what space there is...
Just looking at woody's photo though the big problem is how pushed down the floor pans are... You would have to run below them plus there isn't really any good mounting point in the middle of the car so you would almost have to make a full X to get something out of it.

i always thought an inner cage might work better. like bracing the floor in the back or a mini cage brace from drivers to passenger side almost like what people do to put in racing seat belts.

I'm planning on making my own rear shock tower connector at some point. The car already has a Reese hitch, which I plan on doing some work with as well. I've also got my upholstery out to patch some holes in my rear footwell, so I'm planning on bracing the area of the "wall" in between the back seat and trunk. That should take care of the front and rear, which should minimize most of the inherent weaknesses in the unibody. Then I want to tackle the rear "traction beam" and see what I can do with this.
I really do need to just get it back on the road though, so that might all have to wait LOL I told my GF that I would have this car done by August, it was supposed to be just a headgasket and header install. My ADHD and seasonal employment (not working right now) has got me fairly far down the rabbit hole now and I can't look back!
